In a nice change of pace for art in the IDV community, the next episode of Identity V STAGE will be performed soon. The 6th episode, “The Abyss of Art” appears to focus on Painter, Edgar Valden (played by Kodai Miyagi) and Sculptor, Galatea Claude (played by Yagi Mashiro).

The Identity V Stage play has been running since 2019 and features episodes between the survivors and hunters with usually a character from each faction being highlighted for each episode. For instance, the first episode features Embalmer, Aesop Carl, as the survivor protagonist while on the hunter side, he stood parallel to Photographer, Joseph Desaulniers.

While the stage play is approved by NetEase and Joker Studios, the production company states that:

“…we have also created our own plot, independent of the content of the original. There will be some differences, including the characterization, story, and world-building.”

In short, the stage plays are separate from the canon presented in the game, but that does not make the stage plays any less fun to watch.

Unfortunately, for those outside Japan, it is rather difficult to find a place to watch unless you buy the Blueray releases. However, fan translations of the episode exist on line and so do

As for the latest episode of the stage play, “The Abyss of Art,” performance dates are from May 14th to May 24th and will be performed at Theatre H in Tokyo.
